The One Trait All business owners must have

All owners have a common trait of entrepreneurs, is a "Business Owners" mind-set. If you are thinking of starting a home based business, you better develop "Entrepreneurs" mind-set.

Are you considering a Home based Business Opportunity? Remember, a Home Business Opportunity is just what it says. This is a business. It is not a job.

All require a Home Business Opportunities "Business Owners" mind-set and mentality "Employee."

An employee has the mentality that if it starts a new job with a pay rate of $ 20.00 per hour, work 40 hours the first week, earned $ 800 and wants his $ 800.00. A company has the mentality that if you start a new business can not show a profit the first week, maybe even for the first few weeks or even months. Jeff Bezos had a "Business Owners" mind-set. In 1994, he left his job of one million U.S. dollars a year as an investment manager with the intent to start a business on the Internet. Seven years later, in the 4 th quarter of 2001, Amazon.com posted its first profit, $ 5.1 million.

One reason for more than 95% of people trying to start a home based business fail is that they still have the mentality of "Dependent". In defense of those who have failed in their attempt to start a home based business, but it's not their fault. All too many "Home Business Opportunities" paint a pie in the sky promising pictures all you need to do is join their program and you are immediately going to have untold riches. They show pictures of beautiful houses, expensive cars, exotic vacations, etc. "just join our company," they say. I will not say that it takes time and money to build a successful business. I'm not saying that you can not have all those things to start your own business. It is not just happen overnight. Hopefully, it will not take seven years as it did with Jeff Bezos.

Amazon did make sales during the first seven years. Of 1996 showed revenues of $ 15.7 million in revenue and a net loss of $ 5.7 million. By the end of 1998, Amazon.com had sales totaling $ 610 million and had a net loss of $ 124 million. Avoid these losses mean that Jeff Bezos was not a good entrepreneur? Absolutely not! It means that he had a "Business Owners" mind-set. He knew that a growing business must make money in business. He knew that starting a business requires not only its initial investment, but it would require ongoing operating expenses for the growth and expansion. If he had a mentality of "Employee", would have ceased operations during the first year. If he had a mentality of "Employee", there would be an Amazon.com today. And would not the net worth of $ 4.3 billion it has today.

What about all those companies that show people who earn tens of thousands of dollars a month just after being with the company for a year? It 's really possible? And 'if they have a "Business Owners" mind-set. Let me give you an example. Mike Mastroianni is a former federal agent, and as Jeff Bezos, Mike "Entrepreneurs" mind-set.

In May 2005, was involved in her first home based business. He lost about $ 8,000 and almost lost his marriage. Since 2006, he joined several companies anymore. He wondered how he could ever expect to resign from his federal job with a young family, having no financial security. He found a company called ITV Ventures in September 2006.

In September of 2007, Mike resigned from government after almost 12 years as a federal agent. Mike says. "My wife and family thought I was certifiably NUTS, especially with 2 small children, but I had the opportunity of a lifetime and I had to go for it!" Mike keeps saying: "At the moment I'm making more money in a given month than most people make in an entire year! Mike has been featured in many magazine's Fall 2007 ITV Ventures. If Mike had a" "mentality employee, would have given after his first attempt to start a home based business.

As in any business, there will be no start-up costs and there will be ongoing costs. If you have a "Business Owners" mind-set, we accept that. If you have a mentality of "Employee", you ask: "Why?"

If you opened a shop in bricks and mortar, like a restaurant or a retail store, the cost of start-up should include the leasing or purchase of property, equipment, fixtures and inventory. In addition to start-up costs, all activities will have current or operating expenses such as payroll, licensing, advertising and other costs of doing business. Fortunately, a home based business requires no where near the start up and ongoing expenses will be. It requires a "Business Owners" mind-set....
