There are churches and other non-profit organizations covered by the Do Not Call List?

The National Do Not Call Registry (NDNCR) stops the vast majority of sellers to contact people who register their phone number with the NDNCR. However, that being said, not all organizations are included in the list to block NDNCR. This includes companies with whom you have an existing business relationship, as well as charities, religious groups, and political polls.

Although most people can not be considered a charity or survey call any different from a regular telemarketing call, the Do Not Call Registry see the difference. The federal telemarketing laws do not cover non-profit organizations because researchers and survey companies that are making customer service calls are not selling a product or service, or support is requested.

Although these specific organizations are exempt from the National Registry, you can still groped to make them stop calling you by asking to be placed on their internal do not call list. Unfortunately, since these non-profit organizations are exempt from NDNCR are not required to maintain an internal list or specific organization for not calling.

Thus, if a charity ignores the request and calls you back, there's really nothing you can do about it. The best way to avoid the call would simply ignore the call when the number appears on Caller ID. However, you should still ask to be placed on their do not call list, as most of the non-profit organizations will keep one for being polite.

It 'important to note, however, that an attempt should be non-profit to contact you through a for-profit marketing, must maintain an internal do not call list that you can request a phone number to be added. However, although it must have the company does not specify the list of calls, are still exempt from the National Register and you can call until you specifically ask them to do so.

Despite the fact that you can not file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry, a non-profit organizations when you call, you can still stop telemarketers on your way to be complaining about other people who share your frustrations .......
