Weight lifting or cardio to lose body fat

Weight training and cardiovascular aerobic workout? What technical training is the best thing for losing body fat? This is one of the most common questions I receive every week in my quest to help people build effective programs in fat burning exercise. This simple question can lead to inconsistent results disgrace to fat loss, and even frustration.

Customers want to know whether they should avoid all weight training programs and comply with the fat burning aerobic workout alleged. Many are convinced that the lower intensity cardiovascular training will allow them to lose body fat faster than with a single weight lifting alone.

Let's look more closely at where exercise regimen, weight training and aerobics, is the best way to lose body fat. Both training systems are very different from each other.

The aerobic and cardiovascular workout is performed with high volume and low intensity exercise. Oxygen is essential, and exercise can last twenty minutes, with a more sustained elevated heart rate.

The benefits of aerobic and cardiovascular workout is an increase in cardiovascular function, and decreased body fat by burning more calories.

However, with positive, there are also negative. There are some things that lost during aerobic training. First, in time, a decrease in resistance of muscle break occurs. This reduction in force results from a decrease in muscle mass, strength, speed and anaerobic capacity.

On the other hand, with training programs weight, there is a huge increase in muscle tissue, metabolism, resistance, capacitance of speed, power, and anaerobic. There is also a slight increase in cardiovascular function.

Now, because the participants to think of fitness in many cardiovascular or aerobic exercise that is far superior for fat loss? It 'very simple, they are listening to people who are not thinking in physiology. However, one thing I understand is the preferred fuel used during low-intensity aerobic exercise is fat. Consequently, many feel if a higher percentage of fatty acids are burned for fuel, fat loss will occur more. But, is it?

As a matter of fact, fat is the main fuel used during sleep. So, would not be the best exercise to lose body fat is sleep? Not necessarily even if a higher percentage of fatty acids are used for the fuel during the rest.

In my opinion, low intensity aerobic training, with a goal for maximum fat loss is the greatest myth for losing body fat.

Here's an example of loss of fat that will help you understand what kind of training is better to lose body fat. Monday 'walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes at a comfortable 3.3 mph. The results include a cardiovascular workout calorie burn of 300 calories, which is provided a high 60% of fuel from fatty acids. Now, on Tuesday, he decides to run the treadmill for 15 minutes at a very high intensity level of 6 km / h with an overall 7% gradient. Heart rate was recorded at 85% of your maximum heart rate, and burned 350 calories in that 15 minutes with a higher percentage of fat burned sugar. That leaves you with a greater than 50 calories extra calories resulting in a higher intensity exercise only for a duration of 15 minutes. This, for a long period of time, lead to increased fat general, and weight loss compared to the 30 minute, less than aerobic training session.

Now, to lose body fat, is simply not true that lower intensity, longer duration exercise, which burns a higher percentage of fatty acids is much higher in general loss of fat than higher intensity, lifting weights burn more calories, or cardiovascular exercise.

That said, the most effective way to lose body fat is through a program of more intensive training as weight training because of the burn more calories, and high metabolism of the added active, fat-burning muscle tissue. The added muscle burns calories 24 hours a day. It 's much more important to think about the amount of calories consumed compared to the percentage of fat and sugar used as a bookmark, the primary fuel.

Now I'm sure you agree that weight training can be a more effective fat loss exercise program, but the maximum exercise regimen to burn fat is to combine weight training with higher intensity cardiovascular workout. The best way to implement this training session is to play your strength training routine first immediately followed by the regime of cardiovascular exercise.

After reading this article you now know the truth about the most effective way to lose body fat through exercise. Do not fall for the myth of equal intensity exercise less burn more fat, but just push higher intensity workouts. You lose body fat at a high rate.
