The Duel and his emotional reactions

GRIEF AND EMOTIONAL REACTIONS "The darkness is spreading at the speed of light: a love expands in a vacuum?.

/ At the point of no return. Maria Mercedes Lafaurie) etymologically means pain and grief challenge or contest between two. Grief is a normal reaction to a loss of a loved one or beloved object, is an experience that is part of existence. Freud argues that grief is a normal process and tends to evolve favorably by itself, without requiring therapeutic intervention. According to Bowlby's theory links are established and developed from early in life and tend to last through the life cycle, emerging largely in response to the need for security. Describe attachment behaviors as those that strengthen the bond and preserve the closeness or proximity of the person in need. On both parental figures play an important role in the security from which we explore the world and it is these relationships that determine our capacity further to establish bond of affection.

Jaramillo (1992) states that every success also entails loss or renunciation and vice versa. In order to grow emotionally, we must leave behind roles, attitudes, dreams, identities or behaviors corresponding to a stage and replacing them. All this leads mourning in response, and often are not aware of them and knowing the source of feelings of sadness and pain that often arise in our lives. Even events that are apparently happy to be accompanied by some inexplicable sadness. A physical loss is accompanied by symbolic losses, such as a disability can generate symbolic losses like loss of autonomy, sense of vulnerability, low self esteem, etc.. Grief is a transitional process. During the process the person adjusts to the change involving the loss of a loved one and accept the meaning of such loss. This life crisis us tests our emotional stability. JOSE MANUEL SANCHEZ BARRANCO Psychologist, educational psychologists, EDUCATOR AND WRITER
